Dr. Kent Bowden, D.O. FACOS & Certified Hormone Specialist

Dr. Bowden is a board-certified physician and accredited surgeon with a clinical focus on hormone health and metabolic care here at Ouro Rx. He has extensive experience in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and metabolic health management. He is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine with over 20 years of clinical and operating experience. Outside of clinical practice, he is active in fitness, athletic coaching, family life, and travel. “I have always approached health from a preventative and individualized standpoint. As more patients face challenges related to aging and chronic conditions, my focus has been on providing structured, physician-guided care to support long-term health. We stay with you. Your protocol changes as your labs do, which means repeat testing, follow-up visits, and a care coordinator who knows your history.

Ouro Rx operates as a medical practice. Treatment is prescribed only when medically appropriate following clinical evaluation, and prescriptions are issued at the sole discretion of the licensed provider. Medications are dispensed by licensed U.S. pharmacies and delivered in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.

Ouro Rx provides telehealth services to patients in 47 states including the District of Columbia. Services are available only to patients physically located in a state where the provider is licensed at the time of consultation, and the availability of specific treatments may vary by state.

Yes. Your care is physician-guided from the start, with direct access to your physician throughout treatment. Additional consultations are available on demand for questions, concerns, or changes in treatment.
What is bioidentical hormone replacement therapy?
Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) uses hormones that are chemically identical to hormones naturally produced by the human body. At Ouro Rx, Dr. Bowden has extensive clinical experience with BHRT and prescribes bioidentical hormones when medically appropriate based on your lab results, symptoms, medical history, and individual needs. Commercially manufactured hormone therapies are also available when your physician determines they are the more appropriate treatment option.
Can I see a hormone specialist without leaving home?
Yes. Ouro Rx provides hormone optimization care through telehealth, with consultations conducted by phone or video depending on your care needs. Annual physician visits are completed by video, and additional consultations are available by phone. Bloodwork is completed at a lab near you, and prescribed medications are shipped directly to your door.
